The Mission Food Park has been preparing for a benefit concert to raise money for a foundation in honor of a fallen police officer. The forecast calls for the rain to clear up this evening. It has been drizzling all week.

This event is organized and sponsored by 5x5 Brewing Co., which is run by military veterans. To their credit, they have been adapting to conditions.

The foundation was started in honor of Officer Jose Espericueta, Jr, who was killed in the line of duty two years ago answering a call to deal with man with mental problems. The man shot Espericueta before also being shot by other police officers.
