We have been experiencing consistent rains for the past couple of days. This year has been an unusually wet one. This means the ground remains saturated and unable to absorb the excess rain. Flooding is to be expected at various locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

There is more rain to come in the forecast. With any luck, it will be slow and steady to allow drainage systems time to do their work. Any sudden or heavy downpours will result in flash floods.
