Hidalgo County, Texas reports that this weekend has 83 new positive cases of COVID-19, putting the tally past 1,000 for the first time. The total amount, according to County Judge Cortez is 9,050.

In total, Hidalgo County has had 25,563 tests administered with negative results totaling 23,563. A total of 67 cases have resulted in COVID-19 related hospitalizations. Nine of those cases require intensive care treatment. 524 people still remain in isolation.
